Library Management Software

The BUBT Central Library management system is powered by two (02) different software: Koha-ILS and DSpace. Koha-ILS is used for library management purposes, while DSpace is utilized for managing the digital repository.

a. Since January 2022, this Central Library has been using Koha-ILS, an open-source integrated library system (ILS). The system provides automated circulation services, allowing patrons to check out, check in, renew library materials, or obtain library membership and clearance. Furthermore, the system sends circulation email notifications to keep patrons informed. The library's Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is accessible round the clock, allowing users to access it from anywhere via the internet.

b. The library utilizes DSpace repository software to manage its scholarly materials, including internship reports, theses, and other relevant documents. Students have the convenience of searching, accessing, viewing, and downloading the full text of the required documents online, anytime and from anywhere. This 24/7 accessibility enhances the convenience and availability of scholarly resources for the library's users.
